Using SportFit
SportFit was developed for teachers and students for delivery in elementary schools. SportFit can be used as a curriculum-based resource to help teachers meet their learning outcomes. It invites students to learn about the benefits of being active in a non-competitive, inclusive environment.
It is also a freestanding program that may enhance physical activity programs in recreation centres and at special events.
When first registering for SportFit, a student can enter their information individually or the leader can enter a class or school list all at one time.
SportFit is an online physical activity and sport discovery program that provides analysis and recommendations to children for the sports they have a natural affinity towards. By offering extensive resources on provincial and club sport organizations, participants can revisit the site and explore sports for many years to come.
SportFit is a unique way to capture the interest of children and youth in sport prior to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
An initiative of 2010 Legacies Now, SportFit is supported by the Province of British Columbia, the Government of Canada and CTV.
